Clifton ISD Special Programs and Services
Special Programs at Clifton ISD
Special Education, Dyslexia, Section 504, and Gifted & Talented are served through the Department of Special Programs under the direction of Karen Schasteen.
English Language/Emergent Bilingual students are served through the Department of English as a Second Language under the direction of Viki Villarreal.
Career and Technology Education and aligned courses are served through the Department of Curriculum and Instruction in coordination with Clifton High School's CTE Coordinator, Rusty Trammell.
Students identified as experiencing housing instability as defined by the McKinney-Vento Assistance Act are supported by campus counselors and the district's McKinney-Vento Liaison, Tiffany Jones.
Health and Wellness
Clifton ISD believes in providing health and wellness programs and initiatives to promote and maintain a healthy and happy lifestyle for our school community. CISD provides services to support students physical, mental, emotional, and social health . These services include nursing and counseling services in accordance with Texas Education and Administration Codes.
