While summer has begun for our students and families, the Clifton ISD teachers and staff joined together on Thursday, May 23rd to recognize their collective accomplishments for the 2023-2024 school year.
Clifton ISD Superintendent, Andy Ball, recognized 6 retirees for the 2023-2024 school year. Collectively these retirees have totaled 163 years in education. Danette Bird is retiring after 31 years with Clifton ISD's Food Service Department. Dr. Brown awarded Cheryl Burris, Karen Campbell, and Beth Fry for their time at Clifton Elementary. Mrs. Burris, has served as the Assistant Principal of CES since 2016, Ms. Campbell was a staple of CES's Paraprofessional team serving the majority of her time with PreK - 1st grades, and Mrs. Fry has served as the CES Music Teacher for 11 years. Mr. Jackson recognized Charlene Conrad and Bennett Fields from Clifton High School. Mrs. Conrad joined Clifton High School's Math Department in 2018, while Coach Fields is closing out his 42 year tenure with the district.
Thirty-one staff members received service recognition based on 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 45 years with the district. Each member received a pin recognizing their service years presented by the Campus Principals.
